The gîtes
We will be pleased to welcome our guests to our two gîtes, which we have named after the nearby Dordogne and Dropt rivers.
Gîte La Dordogne
The large gîte La Dordogne is the renovated old farmhouse. The renovation respected the original character of the house, while in the meantime we tried to create a pleasant and practical accommodation. The gîte has two floors. On the ground floor you will find a large and a small bedroom, a drawing room with adjacent open kitchen, a dining-room and two bathrooms. On the first floor you will find two bedrooms. The gîte is comfortably furnished.;)

The large bedroom on the ground floor (the ‘parent’s bedroom’) has a double bed, each of the three other bedrooms has two single beds. The beds (most of them 200 cm long) are provided with bed linen.
The dining-room has a large antique fireplace, while the living-room has a wood-stove. In the drawing-room you will find a dvd-player with monitor and a hi-fi. ;)

The kitchen is fully fitted, and has a gas-cooker with oven, a microwave, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. Furthermore there are a coffeemachine, a waterheater, a toaster and an electric citruspress.
The large bathroom has a bath, a toilet, a handbasin and a heated towel dryer. The smaller bathroom has a shower, a toilet, a handbasin and a towel dryer.
A large boiler produces plenty of hot water for the kitchen and the two bathrooms.
In the cooler months (between October and April) electric radiators provide extra heat.;)

The gîte has it’s own terrace, overlooking part of the garden and the pond. You will find garden furniture, a parasol and a barbecue waiting for you.
The gîte provides accommodation for 8 persons.
Gîte Le Dropt
The small gîte Le Dropt is a charming detached en-pierre cottage, which used to house the farm’s bakery. This studio-type gîte (4.5 by 8 meters) has a sitting/bedroom, an open kitchen, and a toilet/bathroom. A fireplace with woodstove gives the gîte an extra romantic atmosphere.;)

In the comfortably furnished sitting/bedroom you will find two single beds (200 cm) provided with bed linen. There is also a dvd-player with monitor and a radio/cd player.;)

The fully fitted kitchen unit has a gas hot plate, a refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a coffeemachine and a waterheater.
The toilet/bathroom is fitted with a shower, a handbasin and a toilet.
A large boiler provides the gîte with hot water.
The gîte has it’s own terrace with garden furniture and parasol, where guests can sit out and enjoy the view over the garden and the pond. Of course there is also the possibility to enjoy a barbecue.
The gîte provides accommodation for two persons (and a small child).
Bed and breakfast/Chambres d'hôtes
In the house we have two quiet rooms for our B&B guests. Each room has two single beds. The guests use their own bathroom and toilet. In the morning breakfast is served on the terrace or in the living-room.;)

The garden and the swimming pool
‘Les Clefs’ has a large, park-like garden, consisting of two parts. A difference in height of about two meters devides the grounds in an upper and a lower garden. An orchard, with amongst others cherry, apple and peach trees, is part of the upper garden. In the lower garden you will find a large pond, in which fish such as carp live. The pond is fed by a natural source, situated next to the well on the division between the upper and lower gardens. You may like a stroll round the pond and enjoy the view and the tranquillity sitting on a bench in the shade. By the way, the garden has many trees, of which some fairly old ones, providing plenty of shelter from the sun, which makes it quite pleasant in the hot summers we have. Leaving the garden by a private path you can explore the neighbouring fields and vineyards.;)

You will find our swimming pool at the rear of the upper garden, where it lies secluded facing grain or sunflower fields every other year. The pool is 4.5 by 10 meters and slopes in depth from 1 to 2 meters. It is free of chlorine and meets the French safety regulations. On the large sun terrace you will find pool furniture such as reclining-chairs and parasols. All in all, the pool area is the perfect spot to relax and get a tan.

Our service
Information: We will be delighted to help you with all kinds of information on the area, such as visits to attractions and interesting sites and places. We can also arrange a visit for you to a so-called wine-chateau, where English speaking tours are available.
Garden: Our garden is, except for the area immediately in front of the owner’s house, freely accessible.
Swimming pool: You can freely use our swimming pool (4.5 by 10 metres and sloping in depth).
Cot: If you wish we can put a cot and/or a baby-chair in your gîte.
Dvd’s: You can freely borrow our dvd’s. A refundable deposit of 10 Euros per dvd is required.
Extra services
We also offer extra services for which we charge reasonable fees.
Fresh bread: If required we can see to it that you get fresh French bread in the morning.
Wine: You can get good local wine from us.
Bicycle transport: We can transport your bicycles to and from different locations in the region.
Towels: If necessary we can provide you with bath-towels, kitchen-towels and tea-cloths.
Laundry: You are welcome to use our laundry facilities.
Animals
We are fond of animals. We have cats, dogs and other small animals ourselves.
So: dogs are welcome with us.
If you decide to bring your pet animal with you, we would like you to inform us in advance; we will then let you know the conditions. For instance: animals are not allowed in both bedrooms and bathrooms.
Please be aware of various restrictions on importing animals into France. Dogs, for instance, need a registration chip and an anti-rabies vaccination.
